BRITISH COLUMBIA.....



After finishing Alberta i moved on to British Columbia and I learned alot of things from there, the capital city of British Columbia is victoria. The population of British Columbia is 4,063,760. The population is distributed as 82% urban; 18% rural. It is ranked in 3rd number in population. It is known as pacific province. Provencial flower of British Columbia is Pacific dogwood, the tree is Western red cedar. Provincial bird of British Columbia is Streller's jay. The symbols for recognization are:blue for the pacific ocean, green for the forest, red for the maple leaf, white for the dogwood flower, gold for the british crown and the setting sun.

Provincial sports team for British Columbia is Vancouver Canucks(hockey) and B.C Lions. (football). Major cities are vancouver, Kelowna, Nanaimo, Kaamloops and Prince George.

The Endangered Species in Mammals are: sea otter, Vancouver Island marmot.

In Birds are: spotted owl, sage thrasher, anatum peregrine falcon. In Fish are: Salish sucker and in Plants are: Southern maidenhair fern. The highest point in British Columbia is Mount Fairweather(4,663m/ 15,300ft). The major rivers of British Columbia are Fraser, Columbia, Okanagan, Peace, Stikine and Skeena. Natural resources of British Columbia are: Forests, Copper, Gold, Zinc, Silver, Sulphur, Coal, Natural gas, Oil, Water and Fish. The agriculture products are: dairy products, beef cattle, poultry, eggs, hogs, flowers and nursery products, fruits, vegetables, grain crops. There are a lot of manufactured goods in British Columbia such as: contruction material, paper, newsprint, fish and meat products, fruit and vegetable products, metal products, refind fuel products. There are two Landforms in British Columbia named: Interior Plains and Western Cordillera. There are a lot of jobs in British Columbia such as: forestry, construction, manufacturing, mining and fishing, government and agriculture.

    May I know how did you travel to different parts of Canada? Do you travel by greyhound or what? Thinking travelling round Canada also please advise. Thanks
